Introducing……Paul Aiden
For the last 3-4 months I have been working with super talented singer/songwriter Paul Aiden. With a wealth of existing pop material on the table, we’ve been collaborating on some electro/dubstep-y remixes.
Last week saw the release of his new mini-mixtape “The Flora Garden’s Mixtape” which contains a Soulful Spider remix of “China Doll”. Please do check it out - he’s a cross between Damon Albarn, Chris Martin and Radiohead’s Thom Yorke. The mixtape is available to download via Soundcloud or you can purchase the limited edition CD here.
Please also keep you ears peeled for upcoming remixes of “Heaven” plus much more.
Big in the game…

Butterfly Culture - Benjamin Francis Leftwich (Soulful Spider Remix)
Having just copped tickets to see him at a small intimate venue in north west London (Powers Bar, Kilburn), I thought I’d repost this remix.
Benjamin Francis Leftwich is a young, hard working singer/songwriter who released his debut album in 2011, followed by the acclaimed “Atlas Hands” EP shortly after. Currently completing the final leg of an extensive tour of North America, he’ll be starting a UK tour in the coming months.
When posting this remix back in December 2011, he actually gave it a nice seal of approval. Thanks Mr Leftwich, thank you very much.
If you like folky vocals over chilled out dubstep beats, please have a listen and reblog if you’re feelin’ it.
Video Games - Lana Del Rey (Dusbtep Remix)
I never thought I would be shouting about this, less than a year after uploading it to YouTube, but my remix of Lana Del Rey’s debut single has had more than 100,000 plays!!
I uploaded this in September 2011, not knowing that Lana Del Rey was going BLOW UP quite as big as she did. Now nearing world domination, she continues to stun with both her looks and her weird Kate Bush-esque sounds.
If you like Lana Del Rey, heavy bass lines and dubstep, mixed with some trancy ethereal sound fx - please check it out!
You can download it here

Too Close - Alex Clare
Every time I see then new IE9/Microsoft/Bing advert, I desperately wanna know whose tune is playing. Well, I just remembered to check and here is it. Take a bow Alex Clare - almost made me want to buy Internet Explorer for my MAC :-)
It sounds like a cross between Maroon 5 and the backing track from a Florence and the Machine, with a dubstep hook - AWESOME.

Santigold - “God From the Machine” (SS Remix)
Brooklyn born Santi White’s (a.k.a Santigold) new album “Master of My Make-Believe” has been playing on my iTunes constantly for the past week. With great guest production from Diplo, Q Tip and house DJ, Switch, it has something for everyone - downtempo, electro, dub and hip hop.
You can cop that eesh here.
I’m loving the album so much, I made a remix of “God From the Machine”, please check it out and re-blog if you like it!

A new remix from your’s truly.
A chilled dubstep version of a James Vincent McMorrow track (no, not the same one as Adventure Club). If you like it, please re-blog :-)

Little Dragon - Twice (16 Bit Remix)
OK - so the original of this is one of my favourite tracks….ever….in the world….ever.
I have always wanted to make a remix, but every time I have sat with the original tune in my Logic window, I seem scared. It is too good. That said, there are loads of remixes out there, including this one from 16 Bit.
There are more to follow, as some of the remixes are actually pretty schweet.
